SAFETY ON THE FARM AND AT HOME
Most pesticides compounds are hazardous and can cause injury or harm if not handled and applied correctly. Have on hand and wear personal protective equipment whenever treating pest both on the farm and around the house. These can include chemical resistant gloves, coveralls, rubber boots, aprons, approved respirators with cartridges and chemical protective goggles.

DRIP IRRIGATION

Increases in agricultural production require increases in irrigated lands with minimum energy consumption, especially during the dry season. Invest in an open-field irrigation system or reap the benefits of a well designed and fully functional irrigation system upon purchase of a GREENHOUSE. We also stock quality assortments of water pumps and tanks. 4D Ag-Center will help you build a cost effective and efficient Agri-Business.

GREENHOUSES AND SHADEHOUSES

Did you know that there are plants that enjoy a well shaded, controlled environment free from pest attack? Create a comfort zone for your plants and maximize their full harvest potential. If a greenhouse is out of your reach then a Shade House or Nursery will suit your pocket. At 4D Ag-Center we stock shade cloth of different grades, bird net, top grade plastic mulch and landscape fabric. Come in at our locations and find out which plants and varieties thrive in these conditions.

SOIL TESTING
Are you certain of how your garden will grow? Have you ever wondered what is in your soil? If not then be advised that crops only take up nutrients they need and everything else remains in the soil. So what then does it mean for your soil to be acidic or alkaline and what does it mean to apply white lime or sulfate and what is stunted growth anyway? Sounds confusing? Then come in at 4D Ag-Center and ask the experts about the Soil Test Kit, pH meter, moisture meter, Soil thermometer and learn how you can test your soil yourself and save some dollars on fertilizer application.

Most vegetables prefer a pH between 6.0 and 7.0 with exception of tomato and carrot that accommodate 5.5 acidity. A 7.0 for all plants flowers and vegetables will provide the most appropriate growing condition. An acidic soil or alkaline soil can be corrected by adding lime or a fertilizer rich in sulfate compound. Soil should be tested after each crop cycle. For better results it is recommended that soil be removed from different locations in the field and mixed together and a sample be taken from that mixture to carry out the test.
